About the Role

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join its team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-value, innovative, and efficient work tool designs for the Medium Wheel Loader (MWL) platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop work tools for MWL platforms, ensuring they meet technical, financial, and timeline requirements.
  • Lead and collaborate across functional groups in the design, development, and maintenance of MWL/heavy equipment structural systems.
  • Support downstream global partners and resolve engineering design issues for the end customer.
  • Be proficient in Creo 3D modeling and Creo Simulate software packages, as well as have a strong working knowledge of detailed fabricated structures design and development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Aerospace, Chemical, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field.
  • 6 years of engineering experience, including product development or a related occupation.
  • Experience with Creo and Creo Simulate or similar CAE packages, fabricated structures design and analysis, Bill of Material (BoM) structures, and associated engineering releasing systems.
