Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Central State Hospital. As a mission-critical employee, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform journeyman-level HVAC work, including planning, installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment, including ice makers, domestic refrigerators, and water coolers.
  • Operate service vehicles and perform small repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
  • Install new HVAC equipment, including physically moving equipment as necessary.
  • Work overtime as needed to ensure the efficient operation of our systems.
Requirements
  • Full range of skills required for the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Experience with all types of HVAC equipment, including related control systems, small package units, window air conditioners, rooftop units, cooling towers, and hot water and steam converters.
  • Knowledge of HVAC codes and ability to interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Valid driver's license and CFC certification (multiple or universal).
  • Trade school and/or field experience.
