Key Responsibilities:

+ Engage with clients to understand their financial circumstances, aspirations, and lending requirements to assist them in achieving their home ownership dreams.

+ Gather and evaluate information regarding the client's financial situation, personal goals, risk tolerance, future plans, income, assets, liabilities, cash flow, and credit history.

+ Assess financial data to determine initial eligibility for various lending solutions.

+ Provide tailored recommendations to clients on lending options that align with their financial and personal objectives.

+ Educate clients on the implications, risks, and advantages of different lending alternatives.

+ Advocate for Citi's brand and promote its offerings as a leading provider of lending and financial solutions, targeting real estate agencies, builders, and other referral sources.

+ Conduct client meetings outside of Citi's premises, adapting to the needs of the clientele, market conditions, and other relevant factors.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to support and expand our customer base.

+ Direct clients seeking services beyond lending to the appropriate Citi professionals.

+ Work alongside Operations teams to ensure a smooth transition of loan applications, facilitating the necessary documentation for Processors and Underwriters.

+ Coordinate with Processors/Closers and clients to ensure timely loan closures.

+ Engage with key referral partners (Realtors, CPAs, Builders, etc.) to drive mortgage business into the organization.

+ Exercise sound judgment in assessing risks associated with business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

+ Introduce clients to relevant segment partners when suitable (including but not limited to Banking, Wealth Management, Small Business, Cards, etc.).

+ Stay informed about local market trends and regulatory changes, while expanding both internal and external networks to better serve clients and industry professionals.

+ Attend a minimum of 2-3 events related to Diverse Realtors and/or affordable housing non-profits each month.

Qualifications:

+ 2-5 years of relevant experience.

+ Required experience in Residential Mortgage.

+ A minimum of 3 years of prior mortgage sales experience.

+ Established connections with diverse realtor organizations and affordable lending non-profits within the origination territory.

+ Familiarity with community loan products, including specialized LMI mortgage solutions and assistance programs.

+ A solid book of business.

+ Preferred experience with FHA/VA and conventional loans.

+ Ability to understand and communicate financial calculations and pricing options.

+ Proficiency in guiding clients on the necessary documentation and information required for loan applications.

+ Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA.

+ Demonstrated customer service skills.

+ Self-driven and capable of working independently.

+ Strong skills in relationship development and management.

+ Comprehensive understanding of general lending products and the mortgage industry.

+ This role requires registration as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and obtaining a unique identifier before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities.

+ Originate a minimum of 3 loans per month, ensuring at least 50% are either CRA eligible or within minority tracts.
