About the Role:

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. This involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure that all systems are functioning within design capabilities and meeting environmental conditions prescribed by clients.

This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues with building systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that building systems meet or exceed their rated life.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that building systems are functioning within design capabilities and meeting environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • Universal CFC certification is preferred.
  • Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
  • Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills.
