Senior Director, Head of Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our Operations and Engineering team at Takeda Pharmaceutical. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing technical teams to ensure company, site, and departmental goals are met within budgetary and schedule guidelines.
The successful candidate will provide general direction to technical staff, leveraging their technical expertise to drive business outcomes. They will use their understanding of automation, MES, and other technical disciplines to manage an operational support function in compliance with all safety and quality regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new processes to support site manufacturing operations
- Coordinate, plan, and schedule tasks and activities for supporting site production activities
- Define scope of work for project teams and manage multiple teams simultaneously
- Manage, hire, develop, and recognize technical staff, creating employee and organizational development plans
- Apply specialized knowledge in a creative way to solve complex problems and drive business outcomes
- Approve and submit proposals to senior management, responsible for policy setting and defining procedures for the staff
- Develop staff members to assume technical approver roles and provide SME-level guidance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of related experience, with 3+ years in a management role
- Well-versed in engineering disciplines, including automation, enterprise-wide software, MES, fluid flow, thermodynamics, heat transfer, statics, and dynamics
- Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, purchasing practices, and process validation
- Fluent in MS Office, MS Project, and MS Visio software
- Strong understanding of automation, information technology, and computer system administration good practices, industry standards, and regulations
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $149,000 - $234,300
- U.S. base salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position, and the actual base salary offered may depend on various factors
