Director - Head of Quality Control Covington

Takeda Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Quality Control to join our Covington manufacturing site in Georgia. As a key member of our Global Manufacturing & Supply and Global Quality (GMSGQ) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of product quality and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality control standards and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of quality control within the organization, including analytical chemistry, microbiology, and laboratory excellence.
- Partner with Manufacturing and other Quality leaders to drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Compliance, financial performance, employee development, customer satisfaction, and digital and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a site contamination control program with a focus on sterility assurance.
- Identify and implement digital innovation for the QC laboratory.
- Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or other related technical field.
- 10+ years of related experience with 7+ in a management role.
- Experience in running a large-scale, multi-function laboratory is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to quality control.
- Knowledge of FDA, EMA, CFDA, PDA Regulations, Good Data and Documentation Practices (GDDP), and application of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Takeda Pharmaceuticals offers a competitive salary range of $169,400.00 - $266,200.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits.
