Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Engineer to join our team at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Reactor Plant Contractors' Office (RPCO). This is a growth and development position that offers significant autonomy and opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct highly visible work with a broad spectrum of responsibility, including technical support, consultation, and oversight.
- Provide technical direction for problem resolution and oversee compliance with contractual requirements.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new products and equipment upgrades as necessary.
- Function independently to ensure the best interests of the Company.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience; or
- Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or
- SRE qualified.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in applying innovative solutions to resolve problems/improve performance
- Prior Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program operational or design experience is desired but not required.
- Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities.

$76,000.00 - $117,000.00 annually
