Job Title: ADS Technician

Specialty RX, a leading long-term care pharmacy in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a highly skilled ADS Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

The ADS Technician will be responsible for maintaining Cubex inventory, restocking cubies, and troubleshooting problems with the Cubex technology. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Cubex inventory and restock cubies daily
  • Run reports on my q-link
  • Handle all Cubex related issues
  • Visit customers to troubleshoot problems and perform audits of medication as necessary
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and exchanging emergency drug kits
  • Prepare the finished prescription product
  • Proper labeling including cautionary and auxiliary labels, as well as other light warehouse duties
  • Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
  • Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low volume times
  • Package materials and products manually
  • Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
  • Maintain clean and organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift
  • Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
  • Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
Requirements:
  • Nationally certified & OH BOP Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred
  • Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Able to work at a moderate speed
  • Able to work during inclement weather
  • Reliable
  • Good organization/Attention to detail
  • Analytical/Problem solver
  • Able to physically perform light lifting
  • Must be able to work various shifts and days
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Experience in pharmacy automation (Pyxis, Omnicell preferred)
Physical Demands:
  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
  • May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
