What You Will Achieve:

The Material Handler I is responsible for various tasks related to the processing of customer orders and warehouse inventory management. This includes preparing pallets for shipment and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety protocols is essential. This role typically involves a standard 40-hour work week, with additional hours as needed based on operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately pick all outgoing shipments using a printed order slip or scanning device.
  • Prepare orders for shipment.
  • Ensure precision in picking loads for dispatch.
  • Load orders in a transport-compliant manner.
  • Safely operate a forklift to unload finished products and supplies from incoming shipments.
  • Conduct cycle counts on finished products based on expiration dates.
  • Utilize shrink wrap equipment effectively.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to GMP standards consistently.
  • Assist in the inventory management process.
  • Safely operate forklifts and stand-up reach trucks.
  • Complete all required documentation with precision.
  • Notify supervisors of any unsafe conditions in both plant and warehouse areas.
  • Identify and report equipment issues to maintenance for timely repairs.
  • Contribute ideas for Continuous Improvement within the assigned area.
  • Participate in team activities as required.
  • Maintain an organized and clean warehouse to ensure safety and effective manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with warehouse team members, quality control, and production to enhance efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Complete safety documentation and ensure compliance with program standards, reporting any deviations to the supervisor.
  • Engage in mandatory safety training and adhere to all safety policies.
  • Report all safety concerns, near misses, and injuries promptly.

Quality and Food Safety:
