Job Title: Sanitation Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our team at Wellness Pet Company.

About the Role:

The Sanitation Technician will play a vital role in maintaining good housekeeping and sanitation procedures in all areas of the plant, including production, packaging, warehouse, and food ingredient receiving and storage systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform cleaning and sanitation responsibilities as assigned by the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Inspect and promote adherence to food safety cleanliness in the handling of products, ingredients, and finished goods.
  • Understand and use chemical or non-chemical pest control systems.
  • Ensure chemical containers are properly marked and tagged.
  • Follow and hold others accountable for following all company Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safely operate a forklift to perform job duties as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Experience in cleaning and sanitizing within a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks without constant oversight.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate using the English language.
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to elements such as odor, noise, heat, cold, dust, and chemicals.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform tasks on a ladder or at heights.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently and consecutively.
