SUMMARY
The Lead Electrical Systems Engineer collaborates within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to pioneer the next generation of True Digital Surgery's medical instruments. This role is pivotal in the design, development, and evaluation of electrical and electronic components integral to both new and existing 3D digital microscopes.
SALARY AND PAY TRANSPARENCY
The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $130,000. Base salary is influenced by various factors, including:

- Educational background
- Business needs and market conditions
Note that this salary range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future. This position may also qualify for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive company benefits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing, developing, and testing PCBAs and system-level electronic components, including cable assemblies, in compliance with medical device regulatory standards.
- Utilizing tools such as Altium, Arena PLM, and Jira, along with basic firmware development environments.
- Conducting EMC testing, with a preference for experience in medical compliance testing.
- Managing interactions with third-party testing laboratories for compliance assessments.
- Understanding and applying regulations and industry standards relevant to medical device development, including ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA guidelines.
- Performing complex engineering calculations and correlating results with design verification tests, including statistical and tolerance analyses.
- Authoring technical documentation, such as product requirements, design specifications, and test protocols.
- Grasping high-speed digital and video design concepts.
- Engaging in prototyping and rework tasks, including soldering and cable assembly, as well as utilizing laboratory testing equipment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is typically required, along with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
