We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Counsel to join our team at The San Mateo County Bar Association. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, providing programmatic support for business initiatives, and interacting with various stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Agreement Negotiation: Structure, review, and negotiate commercial software agreements, including on-premise, cloud, subscription, and SaaS contracts, as well as services, partner, and procurement agreements.
- Risk Management: Manage risk and ensure business and compliance needs are accurately reflected in agreements.
- Business Support: Respond promptly to the demands of a growing and active technology sales team and their management, and provide support for business initiatives and projects as required.
- Education: Juris Doctorate or equivalent from an accredited major law school and licensed to practice in the United States.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience with some in-house commercial licensing/SaaS experience preferred.
- Skills: Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex software, SaaS, services, partner, and procurement agreements, as well as strong analytical, drafting, communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
