Job Summary

Acuity is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Data Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Enterprise Data team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design and implement scalable and secure data infrastructure solutions to meet the company's growing data needs.
  • Server and Application Support: Provide support and maintenance for distributed or open systems servers, virtualization, Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems, and data replication systems.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of the company's data by implementing and maintaining robust security measures, including progressive security protocols.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime and data loss in the event of a disaster.
  • Training and Documentation: Train local and remote users on operating system software packages and hardware operation, and document processes and procedures.
  • System Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor and tune system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and scalability.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent, and continued field-specific education.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of practical experience in computer operations, applications, and/or technical support or information security.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of operating system hardware, software, network components, security, and/or database management systems; ability to provide exact audit trails and recovery points during project life cycles; ability to work cooperatively with technical and non-technical system users and industry vendors.
