Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly service to all guests.
- Uphold and promote our Signature Service standards to create memorable experiences for our members and guests.
- Plan, organize, and direct the banquet department's operations, ensuring guest satisfaction at all events.
- Lead, train, and evaluate banquet staff, fostering a positive work environment and adherence to our cultural standards.
- Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, representing the organization positively to guests and staff.
- Coordinate event setups and ensure quality service delivery during functions.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director and Executive Chef to develop effective menus and maintain high product quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of function spaces to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
- Monitor labor and operating expenses, ensuring efficient scheduling and budgeting practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the venue.
- Provide leadership and support to the banquet team, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Stay informed about upcoming events and communicate effectively with all relevant departments.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of three years of progressive experience in Food and Beverage Management, preferably within banquet services or a luxury setting. A college degree in a related field is advantageous.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with the ability to interpret business documents and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
Applicants must have a valid Food Handlers Card and RBS Certificate, along with a California Driver's License.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 25 pounds regularly. The work environment may involve exposure to various conditions, including noise and moving mechanical parts.
