Lead Operating Room Assistant

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Operating Room Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of operating room staff, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Provide training and guidance to new staff members to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care and operating room activities.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a surgical or operating room environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Previous experience as a lead or supervisor in a healthcare setting.
- Bilingual or multilingual capability, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds.
