Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the tax department in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities.
  • Develop and implement strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize clients' interests and tax position.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations and manage audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Collaborate with senior management on tax-related matters and provide strategic insights.
  • Mentor and develop junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert tax consulting and advisory services.
  • Enhance and streamline tax processes, implementing best practices to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA, MST, or CPA highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on complex tax issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
