About the Position

The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) plays a pivotal role in driving the Court's strategic development and execution processes. This position leads the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), identifies opportunities for external collaboration, champions transformational innovation, and develops a robust program of data analytics and performance measures to further the Court's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the Court's strategic planning and development activities.
  • Direct the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and manage high-priority projects.
  • Identify and manage collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the design and management of the Court's innovation incubator.
  • Develop and oversee the Court's performance metrics and data analytics program.
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to the CEO and Senior Executive Team.
  • Ensure strategic objectives and key results are obtained.
Minimum Requirements

Any combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the following minimum qualifications is acceptable:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Statistics, Public Policy, or a closely related field.
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in roles related to organizational performance assessment, strategic project management, business analytics, program evaluation, and/or process improvement, three (3) years of which include supervisory responsibilities.

Experience requirements may be met concurrently or separately within a candidate's job history.

Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience.

No additional credit is given for overtime.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements

A valid California Class C driver's license or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

Certifications in project management, business analytics, or a related field are desirable, but not required.
