Medical Records Clerk Job Summary

The Medical Records Clerk is a vital member of the VitalCore Health Strategies team, responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retrieve and maintain medical charts for healthcare staff and clinics.
  • File and secure active and inactive medical records.
  • Ensure charts are counter-signed by physicians and checked for completeness.
  • Release information at the direction of the Medical Records Supervisor, Medical Director, or Health Services Administrator.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and make telephone calls.
  • Maintain a roster or appointment book for scheduled appointments.
  • Order and receive office supplies.
