Job Title: Lead Technician, Layer I

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician, Layer I to join our Facility Infrastructure Team at ADB Companies, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing copper and fiber infrastructure, providing technical leadership, and ensuring successful project completions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Inside Plant Operations, including fusion, optical loss, OTDR fiber splicing and testing, additions, removals, wiring connections, and modifications on working equipment and circuits.
  • Review, validate, and create High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs for areas of expertise.
  • Follow Customer/Industry standards for design documentation and implementation.
  • Provide technical leadership to installation and support engineering teams.
  • Participate as part of the project leadership team.
  • Manage and track time, materials, equipment, project documentation, within project guidelines and submit daily and weekly reports.
  • Review, audit, and approve deployments.
Requirements:
  • 4-7 years of experience with cable installation procedures required.
  • 5+ years experience of data center buildouts required.
  • BICSI Installer 2- Copper certification preferred but not required.
  • Certified on test equipment for phone, data, and fiber optic a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving. Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid, and/or rainy spring, summer, and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated. Must wear common protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high-visibility vests when working on-site.
