Job Overview
POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves the installation of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, food service apparatus, and shelving in newly constructed stores, as well as during renovations and rebuilds. Responsibilities also include setting up new equipment for the launch of updated menu offerings.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Install and troubleshoot refrigeration systems, HVAC units, ductwork, food service equipment, and shelving in accordance with established plans and quality benchmarks. Ensure proper balancing of HVAC systems, fryer hoods, and dishwasher hoods.
  2. Coordinate and schedule all installation activities in the absence of the crew leader.
  3. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  4. Lift and install evaporator coils weighing up to 50 pounds at heights of approximately eight feet.
  5. Unload delivery trucks and maneuver loads of up to 125 lbs. across uneven terrain.
  6. Possess all necessary tools and materials to complete assigned tasks.
  7. Demonstrate the ability to read, write, and interpret instructions, including blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams. Proficiently use hand tools and power tools, and accurately distinguish colors.
  8. Maintain precise documentation, including work orders, labor hours, warranty forms, equipment transfers, and weekly logs for procurement cards.
  9. Engage with Fire Marshalls, Mechanical Inspectors, and Health Inspectors to secure final approvals for new stores and renovations.
  10. Utilize barcoding to document equipment for warranty tracking, reliability analysis, maintenance concerns, and technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience may be considered)

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory
  • Technical or Trade training is preferred

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License is essential
  • EPA certifications – License I and II are required

Tools & Equipment:

  • Hand tools (hammer, measuring devices, wrenches, levels, etc.)
  • Power tools (saws, drill presses, grinders, sanders, etc.)
  • Welding equipment (torch, plasma cutter, welder, etc.)
  • Motorized equipment (generators, pressure washers, forklifts, etc.)
  • Specialized tools (reclaimers, balometers)
