Job Overview
POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves the installation of HVAC systems, refrigeration units, food service apparatus, and shelving in various settings including new establishments, renovations, and upgrades. Responsibilities also include setting up new equipment for the launch of new menu offerings.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Install and troubleshoot refrigeration systems, HVAC units, ductwork, food service apparatus, and shelving in accordance with established plans and quality benchmarks. Ensure proper balancing of HVAC systems, fryer hoods, and dishwasher hoods.
  2. Coordinate and schedule all installation activities in the absence of the crew leader.
  3. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  4. Lift and install evaporator coils weighing up to 50 pounds at heights of approximately eight feet.
  5. Unload delivery trucks and transport loads of up to 125 lbs across uneven terrain.
  6. Possess all necessary tools and materials to complete assigned tasks.
  7. Read, write, and interpret instructions including blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools, and able to distinguish colors.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, labor hours, warranty information, equipment transfers, and checklists for new store setups.
  9. Engage with Fire Marshalls, Mechanical Inspectors, and Health Inspectors to secure final approvals for new and remodeled locations.
  10. Utilize barcoding systems to document equipment for warranty tracking, reliability analysis, maintenance issues, and technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience may be considered)

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Technical or Trade training is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Driver's License is necessary.
  • EPA certifications – License I and II are required.

Tools & Equipment:

  • Hand tools (hammer, measuring devices, wrenches, levels, etc.)
  • Power tools (saws, drill presses, grinders, sanders, etc.)
  • Welding equipment (torch, plasma cutter, welder, etc.)
  • Motorized equipment (generators, pressure washers, forklifts, etc.)
  • Reclaimers and balometers.
