Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Procurement to lead the category management for Marketing/Marketing Services. The ideal candidate will bring experience within the Human Resources and/or Professional Services category.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop multi-year global category plans aligned with Business and Indirect Procurement priorities.
  • Use current industry trends, data analysis, third-party supplier spends data and internal requirements to develop strategies that will proactively identify optimization opportunities to assist our Marketing Business Team to meet their goals.
  • As Category Lead, lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing plans and supplier spend management strategies, including handling of complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations that optimize value to the company.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with key business partners to understand their needs and become a trusted partner to strategically manage their spend and supplier relationships.
  • Establish supplier positioning and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, including influencing their processes, resource decisions, performance management and policies to create mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships.
  • Develop strong internal partnerships across Indirect Procurement, Finance, Operations, HR, Privacy and Legal teams and act as the collaborator to bring teams together and influence a Qualcomm-wide solution.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, work with various business groups to simplify processes. Contribute to implementation, planning, and change management of process improvement initiatives across Indirect Procurement.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and manage the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues and escalations. Provide regular communication and training on procurement processes and systems to stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Act as procurement subject matter expert in consulting with the business to identify, develop and deploy best practice procurement, category management and supplier management.
Requirements:
  • Deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing and value chain, including contracts, demand management, sales & operations planning, procurement, order management, and logistics.
  • Experience and skill working with customers, including senior leadership.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at executive and functional work levels.
  • Ability to create complex and multi-layered strategies within Indirect Procurement that aligns with corporate strategies and objectives over time.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field.
  • 8+ years of industry-specific experience in Procurement, Operations, or related work experience.
