Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, this position maintains instrument and reagent inventory, processes data, and reports on all lab testing that occurs outside the department. Ensures compliance with all requirements of licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of laboratory testing and inventory.
- Processes and reports data on laboratory testing, including quality control and quality assurance.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, including CLIA and CAP.
- Collaborates with laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of laboratory testing.
- Participates in ongoing education and training to stay current with laboratory testing and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) certification.
- Less than 1 year of experience in laboratory testing.
