We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for the daily operation of an assigned laboratory section, ensuring the highest quality patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
Key Responsibilities- Manage laboratory workload and personnel scheduling, inventory maintenance, and quality assurance programs.
- Perform complex laboratory tests and procedures, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Assist in laboratory projects, training new employees, and developing laboratory policies and procedures.
- Maintain and disseminate advanced knowledge of laboratory equipment and information systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical and Research Technology, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of clinical laboratory experience, with 2 years in a specialty or related laboratory field.
- Certification in Medical Technology, MT (ASCP), or a nationally recognized professional organization accepted by JH Pathology.
