Position Overview:
This role involves providing support for the modification, enhancement, and refurbishment of F-16 aircraft currently being executed in Europe. The position is primarily stationed in Germany, with potential requirements for both domestic and international travel. Candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a passport for international assignments. Key responsibilities and requirements include but are not limited to:
- Conducting extensive depot-level maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft structures and significant subassemblies. This includes planning, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing various sheet metal and structural components using precision measuring tools.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding English, including safety regulations, operational maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- The role may involve repetitive motions and working in overhead positions.
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to use hands for grasping, handling, and feeling, as well as reaching with hands and arms, and must possess good communication skills.
- Frequent physical activities such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, twisting, and working on or within aircraft are required.
- Occasional requirements to sit, climb, and maintain balance. Candidates should be able to lift and/or push or pull weights up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision capabilities are necessary, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing essential job functions, candidates will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary. Regular exposure to vibrations is expected.
- Candidates may encounter moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
- Proper handling, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials and toxic or caustic chemicals in accordance with governmental regulations and company protocols are essential.
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, high or precarious locations, outdoor weather conditions, and electrical hazards is anticipated.
- Candidates must maintain a safe and efficient work environment while ensuring a clean, FOD-free workspace.
- Flexibility to cover other shifts as needed is required.
- Selected candidates must be willing to complete the Lockheed Martin wiring course. When not engaged in structural tasks, individuals will assist in wire routing and termination.
- This position is contingent upon obtaining NATO SOFA approval from the relevant authorities.
- This role is designated as an unaccompanied assignment, with the option to bring a spouse at the candidate's expense if NATO SOFA status is granted.

Basic Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in structural repair or sheet metal work related to F-16 or fighter aircraft.
- Must possess a craftsman level (7 Level USAF) in a similar role or equivalent experience from Navy, Army, or A&P backgrounds.
- Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Associates Degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
- No degree with 11 years of relevant experience.
- These qualifications are mandated by the German government for NATO SOFA eligibility. Proof of educational credentials is required if using an Associates or Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals, including understanding symbols, flags, and general notes.
- Capability to identify aircraft locations based on engineering documentation.
- Problem-solving skills to address a variety of concrete variables in non-standardized situations.
- Knowledge and ability to perform multiple skill requirements.
- Willingness to receive training and/or certification in specialized skills.
- Previous experience in wire maintenance is preferred.
