Job Description

CHADS Coalition for Mental Health is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving young lives by advancing the awareness and prevention of depression and suicide.

Program Overview

The CHADS Family Support program is committed to providing emotional support and resources to families navigating the mental health care system. Our target population is young people ages 12-25 who struggle with depression, self-injury behaviors, or emotional issues.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate counseling services to families and adolescents, including assessment, treatment, and resource development.
  • Conduct face-to-face or tele-behavioral health therapeutic counseling services for children/adolescents with emotional or mental health challenges or in suicidal crises.
  • Facilitate support groups for adolescents with mental health challenges.
  • Accurately track, record, and report data for all family support contacts in a timely manner.
  • Provide support materials and resource development.
  • Some evening hours may be required.
Qualifications
  • Preferred LCSW or LPC with experience working with populations age 12-25 and parents.
  • Comfortable with virtual/tele-behavioral health platforms.
  • Effective organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Dynamic and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and compassion regarding crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
Compensation

The salary range for the Family Support Therapist (Hourly, Pay Per Session) is $37-$44 per billable (impactful) hour.
