This role involves assisting members in selecting and purchasing tires, ensuring proper installation and repair of tires, completing necessary documentation for the tire bay, and adhering to tire bay policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Ensure proper tire installation, including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing.
- Oversee the disposal of tires and ensure propane tanks are filled according to club policy.
- Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area, merchandising tire displays and automotive products effectively.
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with Home Office regarding tire needs as necessary.
- Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and utilize special-order tire programs appropriately.
- Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards while using tire bay equipment.
- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, verifying vehicle sizes as needed.
- Fill propane tanks as required, if certified per DOT standards.
- Ensure all tire bay scheduling data and documentation is completed for sales and service orders.
- Uphold all club policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including support in other departments as necessary.
- Regular and predictable attendance is a crucial aspect of this role.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles required.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
- Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn are required.
- Prior experience in tire installation is preferred.
- Must complete Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance.
Environmental Conditions
- Exposure to both indoor and outdoor temperatures and weather conditions.
- Most time is spent standing and moving continuously on hard surfaces, with frequent bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
- Frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds is required, with potential for heavier items with assistance.
- Work is typically performed in proximity to moving vehicles and machinery, which may require shouting to communicate. Occasional exposure to approved chemicals and strong odors may occur.
In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position starts at $17.50.
