Corporate Security and Safety Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Security and Safety Manager to join our team at Hertz. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective security and safety management services for all region and field employees, utilizing excellent workplace security and safety problem-solving and relationship skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide security and safety management services for all region and field employees.
- Coordinate investigations with law enforcement and prosecutors as needed.
- Represent Hertz and Hertz-owned subsidiaries in depositions and legal matters.
- Evaluate location safety programs and develop corrective action plans.
- Represent Hertz interests in cases involving outside authorities.
- Conduct internal investigations as requested by the global senior director or region management.
- Conduct monthly location safety evaluations.
- Assist in the safety requirements at location startups.
- Liaison with internal departments or external organizations and relevant authorities.
- Promote and administer the Division Safety Incentive Program.
- Develop personal skills and capability through ongoing training.
- May be assigned projects related to security or safety.
- Participate in city managers' meetings to keep informed of possible criminal activities.
- Monitor theft reports and take corrective action.
- Maintain and develop liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement authorities.
- Provide training programs for new hires.
- Participate in the planning of new facilities and offer suggestions for security hardware and procedures.
- Make unannounced visits to locations to evaluate security and safety best practices.
- Conduct investigations as required.
- In cases of labor unrest, ensure local management takes necessary precautions to protect employees and assets.
Requirements:
- At least 20 years of law enforcement experience with a concentration in criminal investigations.
- Strong consideration for candidates with OSHA 10 certificates.
- Knowledge of investigations in criminal and civil matters and the ability to testify in court.
- Ability to analyze criminal cases and make decisions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
- Adept in the use of internet browsers and email clients, MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
- Familiarization with closed-circuit television and alarm systems.
- Familiarization with building access control systems.
- Experienced investigator with interview and interrogation techniques.
- A strong team player with experience with high-performance teams.
- Ability to travel as required.
Salary: $85,000/yr
