Position Summary

The Atlanta Campus is currently looking for a full-time Financial Aid Officer. This role is crucial in guiding students through the financial aid process, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources to achieve their educational goals. We are looking for a collaborative individual with strong communication and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to students and their families regarding the federal aid application process.
  • Assist in the completion of necessary forms and documentation to secure financial assistance.
  • Gather required documentation from students and families, and communicate any missing items promptly.
  • Verify the accuracy of information submitted by students and families as needed.
  • Determine financial aid awards and communicate these decisions effectively.
  • Ensure accurate entry of awards into the administrative system.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial aid records for each student receiving assistance.
  • Assess eligibility for various grants, scholarships, and loans from federal, state, and private sources.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Relevant educational background.
  • Experience in financial aid or accounting/management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial aid software and systems is advantageous.
  • General understanding of accounting principles and data processing applications.
