We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Point of Care Consultant to lead our Physician Services Point of Care testing team at MaineHealth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the operational and compliance aspects of our Point of Care testing services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the operational and compliance aspects of Point of Care testing services
- Collaborate with the POC Manager and Laboratory Director to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement procedures for Point of Care testing
- Train and educate staff on Point of Care testing procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of Point of Care testing results
- Baccalaureate degree in a related field
- Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician certification
- At least two years of laboratory experience
- Knowledge of CAP and CLIA regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and training skills
