Job Summary

The Cashier is a key member of our sales team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience. This role involves operating a cash register, handling customer transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service
    • Provide a positive and welcoming experience for customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and resolving issues.
    • Operate a cash register, handling transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
    • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment.
  • Register Operations
    • Follow all cash handling procedures, including counting change and balancing the register.
    • Process customer transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
    • Assist with restocking shelves, facing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Front End Appearance and Upkeep
    • Ensure the front end of the store, including checkout areas and entrance doors, is clean and well-maintained.
    • Assist with decorating the front end according to company standards.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the sales team and maintain a positive customer experience.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Cashier experience preferred, but not required.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
    • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
    • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and climb stairs.
Compensation

Starting at $10 per hour.
