Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all back-of-the-house operations, including food preparation, kitchen, storeroom, and dishwashing.
  • Exemplify the core values of the company and lead by example.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate back-of-the-house personnel.
  • Purchase food items, supplies, and equipment, and coordinate menu planning and food production.
  • Ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Train kitchen personnel in safe operation of equipment and utensils, and maintain cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, and equipment.
  • Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control.
  • Communicate effectively with subordinates and other managers, and motivate team members to achieve high standards.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in food preparation, including line cook, fry cook, and expediter.
  • At least 2 years of experience in restaurant management.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
