OCT Consulting is a certified SBA 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm dedicated to providing exceptional support to Federal Government clients.

Our consulting services encompass a range of areas including Strategy, Process Enhancement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

OCT is currently seeking Acquisition Professionals with a minimum of 5-8 years of comprehensive experience in Contract Specialist roles or Contracting and Procurement.

We are in search of specialists adept in acquiring and managing government contracts across various vehicle types, including but not limited to fixed price, time and materials, cost/cost-plus, interagency agreements, IDIQ, and BPA.

Experience in supporting an acquisition office within the Contract and Procurement Series, 1102 is highly preferred.

This experience may be gained as a federal government employee, a contractor supporting Federal initiatives, or a combination of both.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

- A minimum of five (5) years of full-spectrum federal contract specialist experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Acquisition certification is highly desirable (e.g., FAC-C, DAWIA certification, NCMA certifications will also be acknowledged).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the entire acquisitions management lifecycle, including:
- Acquisition Planning
- Conducting Market Research/Pre-solicitation activities (Drafting RFI, RFP, Sources Sought, etc.)
- Preparing procurement packages
- Offering recommendations on optimal contract types and acquisition methods
- Assisting with Determinations and Findings
- Solicitation Phase activities
- Preparing solicitation documents
- Post solicitations as required
- Receiving quotes, proposals, offers/bids
- Evaluating submissions
- Award activities
- Post Award Contract Administration Phase activities
- Drafting COR appointment memos
- Supporting post-award conferences and meetings
- Closeout Phase activities
- Familiarity with contract writing systems such as PRISM.
- Ability to obtain or retain a Public Trust clearance, which involves a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check.
- Must be a US Citizen.
