Position Overview



Working under the limited guidance of an Automation Engineer, Automation Maintenance personnel, production supervisor, or other designated authority, the Automated Production Line Operator is tasked with both scheduled and unscheduled modifications or adjustments of specific component parts or units associated with the automation processes of the machinery. This role also involves maintaining records and reporting on operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of a 6 Press Tandem Line, which includes programming and/or adjusting the robotic automation of the line, as well as constructing and/or modifying the necessary End of Arm Tooling (EOAT).
  • Possess experience with Job Change Over (JCO) and a solid understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Fanuc Robots and the operation of overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Exhibit mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a written mechanical aptitude/knowledge assessment.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and execute tasks as directed.
  • Basic understanding of positive and negative numerical values and their relevance to robotic operations.
  • Familiarity with both metric and standard measurement systems.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and ABB robotic systems.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to colleagues involved in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • General educational requirements, including proficiency in high school-level mathematics and reading.
  • Demonstrated history of good attendance.
