**QSAC Job Fairs - Autism Specialist**

We are seeking an experienced Autism Specialist to join our team at QSAC Job Fairs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), providing speech and language therapy that is tailored to their unique needs.

About the Role:

As an Autism Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized speech and language programs, conducting assessments, writing IEP goals, and implementing behavior management interventions. You will work closely with our team of experienced professionals to ensure that our clients receive high-quality care and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language programs in accordance with behavioral principles and IEP goals
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills
  • Write IEP goals, objectives, and updates
  • Implement data collection, behavior management interventions, and principles of behavior analysis during individualized therapy sessions
  • Maintain daily attendance records and session notes

Requirements:

  • NYS Certification of Clinical Competency required
  • NYS Certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech Language Disabilities (TSSLD) required
  • MA Degree in Speech Language Pathology required
  • At least 6 months experience employing behavior analytic principles with children with ASD
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) highly preferred
