A Unique Opportunity Awaits for a Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Care Department
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A CONTINGENT POSITION
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Respiratory Therapist provides expert respiratory care to patients within a designated unit or floor in the healthcare facility, supporting medical treatment as directed by healthcare professionals and in accordance with the hospital's objectives and policies. This role involves orienting patients to their treatments and establishing measurable respiratory goals tailored to each patient's developmental level and understanding. Responsibilities include assessing, administering, monitoring, and evaluating aerosolized medication treatments for patients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy program is required. A Registered Respiratory Therapist credential is mandatory. A current Michigan Respiratory Therapist License is essential. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Previous experience in respiratory care is preferred.
