About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Planner to join our team at HGA. As a Senior Medical Planner, you will play a key role in creating places that enhance all aspects of the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and plan healthcare facilities, collaborating with user groups, departments, and hospital administration.
  • Work with Principals to develop and analyze client building programs, ensuring clear communication with the project team throughout all project phases.
  • Conduct research and analyses of space utilization, determining space requirements for expansion and creating solutions to meet evolving needs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and consultants to implement design concepts through project completion.
  • Represent the Principal in maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Contribute to and assist Principals in the marketing of assigned projects, including proposal development and client interviews.
  • Monitor the quality of drawings produced, providing coaching as needed.
  • Stay current on new methodologies related to healthcare design, planning, sustainability, LEAN, and evidence-based design principles.
  • Work with Healthcare Practice Group leaders to develop and implement annual goals and objectives.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and mentor junior staff members on healthcare planning concepts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, Master's preferred.
  • OSHPD experience required.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • 8-10 years of mid- to large healthcare project experience and medical planning.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other industry-accepted software, as well as expertise with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite products.
