The Radiology Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing and processing both rest and stress Cardiology scans. This role includes performing quality assurance checks and assisting physicians in the preparation of diagnostic reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1. Conducts camera quality assessments in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, including daily flood tests, weekly bar phantom resolutions, and center of rotation checks.
  • 2. Manages laboratory and biohazardous waste disposal effectively.
    • 2.1 Procures nuclear doses in suitable quantities to align with provider schedules and minimize waste.
  • 3. Executes the data acquisition process proficiently.
    • 3.1 Adjusts camera positioning as required by physicians or dictated by specific studies.
  • 4. Prepares reports as necessary.
    • 4.1 Aids physicians in presenting data for interpretation.

Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Required experience in Nuclear Medicine Cardiology.
Licensure: Must possess a Nuclear Medicine license and/or certification, with ongoing education to maintain licensure.
Physical Demands: This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and standing, along with moderate lifting capabilities of up to 30 lbs.

Additional Information:
Work Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday - with potential flexibility in scheduling.
Work Locations: Rotating assignments across various facilities.
