Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Fedcap Rehabilitation Services. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and be certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

About the Role: As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate communication skills in young children, develop comprehensive service plans, and provide therapy according to individual treatment plans. You will also instruct and counsel students/clients and their families regarding communication impairments.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate communication skills to include receptive language, expressive language, articulation, voice, fluency, oral-motor skills, and hearing.\r
  • Develop a comprehensive service plan according to program policies and regulations.\r
  • Provide therapy as outlined by treatment plan of communication disorders.\r
  • Maintain professional standards in and out of the Center in compliance with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Code of Ethics.\r
  • Instruct and counsel students/clients and/or their families regarding the specific nature of their communications impairments.\r
  • Attend IEP meetings, staffing, case conferences, and department meetings.\r
  • Maintain appropriate records: progress notes and reports, evaluations, plans, case conference reports, and discharge summaries.\r
  • Get and track insurance authorizations when applicable.\r
  • Complete departmental program evaluation in accordance with agency policy and procedures.\r
  • Function as a case manager and assist in coordinating and obtaining other needed services.\r
  • Supervise clinical fellowship year for staff speech language pathologist where appropriate.\r

Requirements: A Master's degree or its equivalent in the field of Speech Pathology, certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and a current state Speech/Language Pathologist license are required. Three years of experience working with young children as a speech/language pathologist is preferred.
