X-Ray Imaging Specialist

This position offers a competitive salary range of $42-$62 based on direct and relevant experience.
As an X-Ray Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. You will take a patient-centered approach, providing X-Ray services within professional standards and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
- Explain and prepare patients for X-Ray imaging procedures, positioning them correctly for the examination
- Perform routine and advanced X-Ray imaging procedures with minimal supervision, while providing patient support throughout the process
- Adjust scan parameters correctly and maintain positive relationships with radiologists, customers, and peers
- Maintain accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, adhering to safety regulations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Assist with maintaining updated imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary
- Provide training and technical expertise to new associates
