We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LVN Supervisor to join our team at the University of California. As a key member of our Ambulatory & Community Practice, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care and supervision to clinic nursing staff
- Coordinate and assign tasks and duties of all nursing and supplemental staff based on established protocols, policies, and procedures
- Supervise staff, conduct evaluations, maintain yearly staff competencies, and provide training as needed
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and standards
- Plan and adjust staffing on a daily basis to maintain efficient and adequate operations
- Maintain and upkeep of the practice
- Manage the Quality Assurance process
- Possess active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification
- Possession of active CPR BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- 3+ years LVN experience required
- Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills as needed
- Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician
- Knowledge of symptomatology of common and life-threatening medical problems
- Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment
- Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures
- Supervisory experience
