Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse, and report any abnormalities to your supervisor.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Prepare and serve meals, and assist residents with feeding when needed.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by changing linens, sanitizing surfaces, and performing other tasks as required.
  • Observe residents on an ongoing basis, alerting nurses to any concerns or emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, healthcare staff, family members, and visitors.
  • Ensure safe and comfortable movement of residents to and from exam tables, beds, and wheelchairs, repositioning them as necessary.
  • Provide companionship and engage with residents to enhance their overall well-being.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
  • Basic understanding of medical terms and nursing care procedures.
  • Effective organizational skills and strong communication skills.
