Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Custom Applicator to join our team in Tracy, MN. As a Custom Applicator, you will work independently to apply fertilizer and crop protection products to local farmers' fields.
Key Responsibilities- Create relationships with local farmers to understand their chemical and fertilizer needs.
- Manage your time effectively in the field, operating a sprayer/airflow machine while loading and applying products safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Develop technical skills by handling various types of machinery and performing routine equipment maintenance.
- Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
- Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, educating them on products being applied and techniques utilized.
- Assist the sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
- Perform warehouse work, including driving a loader, forklift, and performing mechanics and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- 1+ years of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application.
- Must meet minimum age requirement.
- Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
