Position Summary
As a Custom Applicator, you will play a vital role in your local community by applying your skills and knowledge to meet the agricultural needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with local farmers to understand their fertilizer and chemical requirements.
- Efficiently manage your time in the field by operating sprayers and airflow machines, ensuring safe and accurate application of products.
- Gain hands-on experience with various types of machinery and perform routine equipment maintenance.

Essential Duties
- Under general supervision, apply fertilizers and crop protection products, which may involve the use of high clearance sprayers or floaters.
- Deliver products to customers as required while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Educate clients on the products being applied, the techniques used, and how we can continue to support their agricultural needs.
- Assist sales staff in ensuring accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct warehouse operations, including driving loaders and forklifts, and performing maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including proper reporting and load securement.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and work environments, and complete daily maintenance inspections.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, or Agriculture Application.
- Must meet minimum age requirements.
- Ability to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English are necessary.
- Flexibility to work additional hours, including overnight stays and weekends as needed.
- High School diploma or GED is preferred; Tanker and Air Brake endorsements are a plus.
- A background in agriculture and customer service experience is advantageous.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Capability to climb ladders, stairs, and bins, and access the back of trailers.
- Willingness to work in dusty conditions and adverse weather.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package, including base wages and potential bonuses, incentives, and commissions based on position and performance.
