At Whole Foods Market, we're seeking a skilled Bakery Order Writer to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery department.
Key Responsibilities:- Product Management: Replenish products through proper buying procedures, monitor and act upon open PO reports, and request and ensure proper signage.
- Inventory Control: Control spoilage/shrink, achieve turn goals, and participate in inventory management.
- Customer Service: Ensure orders for product are timely and accurate, maintain a positive working relationship with vendors, and provide excellent customer service.
- Financial Management: Analyze and control product transfers, waste, and spoilage, and maintain financial profitability by meeting and exceeding purchasing and sales targets.
- Store Operations: Arrive to work station on time, maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, and perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
- Experience: 12+ months retail experience.
- Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of bakery, coffee, and juice products, strong basic math skills, and ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day, and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
