University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a highly skilled Complex Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth coordination of patient care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Patient Care Services: Serve as a single point of contact for coordinating appointments, procedures, surgeries, labs, imaging, or treatments.
  • Accurate Navigation and Translation: Accurately navigate and translate complex service protocols, tools, standard work, and information to ensure appropriate services are delivered.
  • Patient Communication: Provide patients with correct information related to their scheduled appointments, procedures, or tests, and respond to any associated questions they may have.
  • Schedule Management: Prepare, manage, and update the daily schedule/calendars for physicians who deliver care at different locations.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with patients, caregivers, providers, schedulers, and other care team members to ensure appointments, labs, imaging are prioritized and sequenced appropriately.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative medical support, including completing scheduling and registration of appointments, templating schedules in Epic, and using basic medical terminology.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Two years' experience in a healthcare setting or practice, with a focus on scheduling and registration of appointments, templating schedules in Epic, and providing administrative medical support.
