Job Description

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a positive impact in their lives. As a Part-time Support Teacher/Teacher Aid, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and implementation of our proprietary curriculum, as well as completing assessments and reports for the children daily.

You will also help and supervise children during all activities, communicate with parents and/or guardians during pick-up and drop-off hours, and counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise.

In addition, you will maintain a safe and clean environment in the classroom, assist with meal times and clean-up, and support classrooms ranging from young infant to school-age children with paperwork, daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Meet state requirements for this position
  • Be able to adapt to teaching in any of the Academy classrooms
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old (or be in a high school work study program related to child care)
  • Pleasant demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management
  • Lift no less than 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday
