Position Summary:
The Material Handler plays a crucial role in the movement and management of finished goods and materials within the organization.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute inventory transactions to facilitate the movement of products within the warehouse.
- Handle loading and unloading of materials in storage facilities, utilizing various equipment.
- Ensure proper organization and inventory management within the designated area.
- Adhere to established procedures and standards, including ISO documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, following 5S principles.
- Report safety concerns promptly to the supervising authority.
- Assist with additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor to support daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is required.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Must be able to follow procedures and work under supervision.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, as necessary.
Work Environment:
- Engagement in repetitive tasks is a regular part of the role.
- Most of the work involves standing for the majority of the shift, with breaks included.
- Shifts may vary in length from 8 to 12 hours.
- Exposure to a typical manufacturing setting is expected, with frequent physical activity.
- Must demonstrate the ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
- Compliance with safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
