We are currently seeking a dedicated Saddle Stitching Machine Operator to become an integral part of our operations.

Position Summary

The Saddle Stitching Machine Operator will be responsible for the effective operation of saddle stitcher machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards. This role encompasses the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of multiple machines, including bindery and finishing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and operate machines to identify and resolve any operational issues during production.
  • Provide training and support to junior Machine Associates as necessary.
  • Accurately interpret job specifications and standard operating procedures to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs and records.
  • Configure and adjust pockets to minimize production interruptions.
  • Select samples for customer approval as required.
  • Organize and prepare output for subsequent processing stages.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
  • Calibrate machine settings to ensure product quality.
  • Propose and assist in the development of standard operating procedures for enhanced efficiency.
  • Set up and maintain stitcher heads for optimal performance.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
