Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Ocean House Management. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development and Execution: Collaborate with our Executive Chef to design and implement new menu items, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Culinary Team Management: Supervise and mentor our culinary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the management of our inventory, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our menu requirements.
  • Cost Control: Work with our Executive Chef to manage food costs, ensuring that we are operating within our budget.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, working closely with our service staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A degree in culinary arts and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior culinary role.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and a basic knowledge of kitchen management software.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with regular standing, walking, and lifting of up to 50 pounds.
